 A trip down to the Lower valley today. Bought fingerling potatoes, plums and jam at the indoor farmers’ market as well as a new pair of fingerless mitts, my third pair from there. 

Then onto the sheep preserve for a walk.....

 Fiona to stay last night, she and Grumpy watched the first Star Wars together. Memories of him taking her aunt, Robyn, to watch it at the cinema back in Kent. Caroline very annoyed, aged five, that she was not considered old enough!  I was just pregnant with Fiona’s dad!

After breakfast we drove down to The Property to admire the igloo built by the boys at William’s sleepover birthday party. They breed them strong in the West........high winds and snow didn’t stop some of them sleeping in the structure!

Had a lovely, snowy walk over to Marr pond then home for lunch.

 And today we walked to the ballot box, posted the ballots then celebrated with a cup of coffee from Hurricane Coffee.....well, one of us did!
